Getaway to Mt Tambourine

Living in Brisbane definitely has its perks. You are pretty much centrally located between the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast... which means your sneaky weekend getaway is closer than you thought.

After a long and stressful week, month, or year, sometimes we just need to check in and give ourselves a mental and physical break. Located only 40 minutes from Brisbane, is Mt Tambourine. Within the peaceful hinterlands, you will find yourself surrounded with quiet & hidden cottages, cute coffee shops & wineries, beautiful hikes & national park walks and even your local markets.

Now let me give you a little insight on my GO-TO sneaky getaway. Whether its for a birthday celebration, getaway with your partner or just time out for yourself - my first choice will always be Ruffles Lodge & Spa. Find yourself located in the middle of the beautiful hinterlands, surrounded by the sound of the trees brushing together, the birds singing & the smell of the ocean in the distance. Opening the door to your own private villa - you will never want to leave. Breath taking views looking across at Hope Island, a massive spa bath & stunning balcony to either watch the stars come out, or enjoy your morning coffee.

Feeling like a few sneaky vinos as well? Don't worry, you are in the right spot. Located down the road is the small but delicate Witches Falls Winery. Consume your body weight in beautiful wines and cheeses, whilst watching the sunset over the vineyard. Once your afternoon has concluded, you can treat yourself to a bottle of your favourite wine, head back to the villa and watch the stars cover the sky.

Once the sun rises, you can refuel with an incredible breakfast in their Vue 175 restaurant. Enjoy your morning coffee looking out into the distance, soaking in the 180 degree view of the hinterland and coast line. Definitely worth adding this to your bucket list.
